Picked up a humminbird 768 this weekend. What's the best card to get to go in it?? Was disappointed in the map program that came in it, may very well be the operator.

Avionics hotmaps south. Check hb site to make sure which version is compatible with your unit.

Which one tho maj? They got gold premium platinum and premium. Is the gold worth the extra hundred bucks?

I have a Hotmaps and Hotmaps Premimum. I think the regular Hotmaps has two more lakes in MS than the Preminum. You can compare the two on their website.

If I remember correctly, premium and platinum have the high definition lake maps built into them (1 foot contours). The Platinum also has 3D lake maps if your HB unit can view them. I got the platinum but I really only needed the premium. Sometimes you can find used cards for cheap on bass boat central or on the personal classified ads on this site. You definitely need the south card. I would recommend the premium south card.

Thanks DG, that one was spoken for. Gonna keep looking. Got to get me a mount for my 768 and get it on the boat, ready to try all this junk out.
