Size: 66.3 KBHey guys, I read your comments and will add mine as well. We, (my boat and 4 buddies) have all put our different units...lowrance,sidescan,hummingbird, garmin and all agree that the vinyl material in our cribs doesn't show nearly the structure that is there. I think it's the thin thickness that brings back a weak signal. The fish are there, just not the whole crowd of wanna-bee's. Got lucky with the fact that it has a textured finish that grows algae like or BETTER than wood. Don't fully understand it but brings in the larvae/plankton....minnows......SLABS!

Kewl, let me ask ya a question on those. I don't see much of a base to them, height and width wise so how does it stay standing straight up when you have a lake that has alot of current in it at times? I know I've put a 80 lb sac of quickcrete inside the holes of a 15 lb cinder block for my boo structures and checked them later on and they were on their side after we had a period of heavy current

Great question DonDon. The "holic" and I have spoke about just that subject. We have shipped units to Washington state where they went into brackish water with current and tide action. The fisheries dept. simply stuck our cement base inside a bigger container and added more cement. Our base is 10" diameter on the larger keeper unit and they put them in old tire rims and sank em'. More work, but they are quite satisfied with the results. We will work with you on any unique requests anyone has and make sure we help you achieve your goals.

Another thought I had was the fact that these stakes have less resistance on them due to their size. Can understand how a big bushy group of boo would catch alot more current. Make sense?
