Default Kids can do the dangdest things

I know you folks probably did not notice I stopped posting earlier but I did. Here is the story why.

I get all excited about going to meet up with part of team geezer and was even going to bring a geezer of my own (father in law). I call the FIL he is ready to go, check with work I am clear here, call the boss and she okays it. WOW, I am ready to go!! Then the phone call, my 18 year old boy being out for summer and bored (I ain't letting him drive all over the country with this cheap gas we got right now) decides to sharpen his knife. Well, he succeeded, it is sharp. Now, here is where the phone call gets good. He tells me that while adjusting the knife in the clamp that it or his hand one slipped and whacked his hand wide open. Soooo, we go to the emergency room, get it patched up for now, BUT, we have to go to a hand specialist in the morning. You know what that means.....NO FISHING WITH TEAM GEEZER! I almost think he done this on purpose to keep me and his grandpa off the lake. I would not even be surprised if DD and WB did not put him up to it with a little bribe dough since they could not go and be a part of the fabulous Team Geezer for a day. Anyway, I have some pics, PM me your email if you want to see them. I don't think I can put them on here without giving G some work to do.

a folding hunting knife, we both use the Lansky sharpners to all of our knives, it will really put an edge on one as he can attest to.

Those are great sharpeners but dangerous also. I have slipped with mine and almost got the thumb too. I hope he is alright.

I think he is going to recover just fine but he is sure hurting right now. The pain meds they put him on from the hospital are pretty funny though.
