    Feelay you are right, I just talked to HB, and metal boats affect the signal and is bot advised.

    What is the name of the white plastic board people use on boats?

    torch, what do you think about having a small bracket welded on the lower part of the transom for mounting the ducer? I had one welded on to mine, didn't want to drill the transom, and it works great. I don't think I'll rip the bracket off during duck season either, pretty stout little piece of metal. The size of it, just from memory, would be like 3" wide, 3" tall, with about an inch or so in between the bracket and the transom. Works good. NO holes.

    If he called the guy at F&F to add that it would probably add another week to the delivey!

    And they don't werk real good. My brothers thru the hull sucks on his glass boat. While runnin it does fine, but shallow water easin around it blinks like it can't see the bottom.

    I would vote for calling FF and have them weld you a transducer bracket on.
