build an "A" frame support structure similar to a kids swingset (2 or 3 depending on weight of boat) and then raise the boat off the trailer, then support it with tires, etc, do your work, then reverse the process to get it back on the trailer.
The only person that has a clue about what to do torch. The a-frame would work only if you raise the bottom of the boat with straps. If you bring the straps up the sides of the boat, the pressure will pop the cap off and bust the hull. Most boat yards have a lift with a jig to hold the straps away from the sides.
Now, if you want my opinion on what to do is to unload your boat of everything and bring it to Auqua Fiberglass and let them handle the insurance company and the repairs the right way. Don't ask any questions.
Put the boat in the lake and throw on some scuba gear, that's how they do it on Deadliest Catch!
tractor and straps.
or use a bottle jack with a 2x6 to spread out surface area and work it off the trailer and support with alot of blocks.
Hey why isn't this thread in the pro-shop?
Remove tiedowns, hook yo boat to yo oak tree, hook trailer to yo truck, put yo truck in 4WD, take off fast.. yo boat will be off yo trailer. Now, gettin it back on yo trailer takes a little more work, but you didn't ask that ..
