Default Hmm all this kicker motor talk got me thinkin...

I know dangerous right, but here goes. On my glass boat, is there any way to get a kicker to work? I been tryin to think up of where one could mount up, and maybe just mount to the outboard somehow... But then again it may not be the best plan, but heck I got an old 9.9 johnson not gettin any use, and I can't afford a terrova so... You guys got any ideas? Or is this just somethin I should just stay away from?

I saw a 9.9 kicker on a Ranger the other day.....I didn't pay any attention to the mount though....It must have been on one of those mounts that go straight up and down though because the motor was up high.

See thats what I kinda had in mind. An in line rig that operates off the outboard controls and steering. Only a rough idea tho, but Ill tinker around with it and may have to fab somethin up... I think it can be done tho

They make a mount to mount a kicker on the from the rear looking forward....on the left side of your big motor....it allows the kicker to be pulled straight up out of the water when running your big motor.....then it will drop straight down to troll with. Ask torch about it....I bet he can tell you all about it.

Just buy a Deep-V and you will have a place to mount it.

Been seeing the new rear mounted trolling motors lately on some of the TV shows and they are neat. They attach right to the big motor and look like they work great. Think Cabelas has them in the catalog I got the other day. Check out the Minn Kota one.

Don don't you remember seeing one like that on the back of my toon? They work fine for pulling or longlining.

They hurt your top end speed some but you are not going to be flying on a toon anyway.
