if you are able to itemize your deductions you can take this deduction, BUT, you have to see which is greater, the sales tax deduction or the state income tax deduction that you get.

You can write off the highway use tax you pay for boat gas..... at least in Missouri we can!

Aint' worth the hassle and very few would have the ability to properly document IF it's beneficial. Then proving how the fuel was used is problematic under an audit.
