Snakes that are poinous have a blount nose and tail and the ones that are not have long pointed nose and tail.

Knew a guy at work that was fishing with his son. A rattle snake was swimming across the lake and he hooked it with a topwater bait. Then the DA tried to get it off and it bit him in his arm. While the snake had a hold of his arm he reacted by grabbing the snake right behind the head, Thus pumping more venom into his arm. Needless to say his son, who was 13 had to drive him to the hospital cause he passed out on the way. He was in the hospital for about a month. They had to cut his whole arm open from one end to the other and pack it with gause. The only good snake is a dead one!!!

Yup, I was up n those willows the last couple of days myself. I was looking up every time I crossed under a twig. For added security, I was packing my 9mm with snake shot. I never saw a cottonmouth was the weird thing though, just a bunch of water snakes and some that looked like racers with no place to go.

I cut a cottonmouth into several pieces with the riding lawnmower last Saturday. I saw him and chased him till I caught him. Rofl Only good snake is a dead one. Then I dragged Mr. CN over there to tell me which flavor of snake that it was.
