Tomorrow morning's Paul Gallo Show on Supertalk.fm (8 FM stations across MS) should be very interesting. Beginning at 6 with general overnight updates but @7, guests from MDWFP will be on to discuss the situation for animals, wild and domestic, in the flood effected areas. I remember all the deer, coyotes, bobcat, cattle lining the Levey's from the floods in the 70's.

Over a month ago when I went to IL to buy my boat the MS river was bad swolen up then crossing over into IL. There was a field with what had to been 200 deer standing around. Never seen that many in my life.

Back in the '80s the Pearl River flooded Honey Island Swamp and our RR tracks were the only thing out of the water. Even I59 was underwater. Everything that walks was standing on the tracks. All the trains were slowed to 10 mph and all the deer and hogs and such would go swimming when we went by.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
One of his quests stated that they (some govt agency) have closed the lakes that are being flooded to recreational boating.
