I swear WB and his limitations, I just wish he REALLY knew his limitations. You know, like calling himself a fisherman.

Whelp, I decided agin it. About a half hour ago I found myself at the electricity store reading text advice from es. When the counterman asked what he could do for me I just blinked at him twice and slowly backed out the door. That's about as close to a near death experience as I've ever had. At one point during the text exchange, I swear I could hear the angels singing.

Whelp....I have been doing that for about 20 years....a friend that is a professional electrician put me on it and helped me make up the cord and then I asked some of the lineman at the power association and they said it was fine.

You Gewber. My generator is only 5000 watts with no 220 plug and I did it fer about 8 hrs Wednesday. I ran my freezer and my fridgerator and my tv, direct tv box and several lights in the house. All this back feedin thru an outside 110 outlet. I ain't blowed nuthin up nor fried any thing. The only thing that happened was when the refrigerator compressor would kick on, the lights would slightly dim.

Jus sit there in the dark JADA, see ifn I care. Or you could leave Grenada now and be here in time to watch the kids put down the last of them 2 slabs of ribs I'm Fixin to take off the grill.

Actually I decided it was more trouble than it was worth considering we were going to be gone all day and not home till 9 last night and energy was supposed to fix it today anyhow.

Rip, the 220 was from a big camper we had about 5 years ago.

Turns out entergy showed up last night around 9 with 3 bucket trucks and 2 service trucks and knocked replaced a transformer in my yard in about an hour.

Yeah me, I turned on every spillage in my house in celebration!!! I didn't even mind when they put 2 of those 5 ton rigs across my freshly cut lawn. Heck, I didn't even mind when that got one buried to the axles. I sort of frowned when the brought the second one back in to winch the first out though, but I smiles again when I was able to turn on the porch light to watch the goings on. But, I frowned slightly when the second one buried down again, but again smiles when the third truck could winch the second 2 from the street. Heck I'm so happy I don't even mind that it looks like a tank war broke out in my front yard.

That is, until they left and I put up all my cords and put everything up angus asked me if I has turned the water off. Doh!!!!! The winching was right I've and through my waster meter. Luckily, they cut it on the house side and I was able to cut it off at the meter before the water level got above 4' in my front yard. About the time I got it off a plumber showed up to do the cut off for me. Didn't realize they knew theyd cut it at all. But in the plus side, I should be able to fish the grass after the water settles a bit.

I can't be 100% sure, but I swear it looked like bigblue was driving the second truck and es was driving the first.

The short is, the plumber reconnected me already an as far as I know, he didnt knock a hole in the roof and I don't have worry about the roofer setting the house on fire and the fire department won't have to knock the electricity out to put it out.

    So....I'm good
