I have a 60 I did the same thing on. Have had no problems with it and now I know that it is getting oil.

my warning horn was beeping all the time, so had my 40 hp outboard checked, and the sensor in the vro pump was bad, sending a bad signal, so he just unplugged the sensor......when i thought about it, i didn't want the vro pump without a sensor, so i had him undo the whole oil injection shebang and now im gonna mix the 50:1 oil manually, as a new vro was around 350.00. it is only a 6 gal. tank. the pump itself was good, but did not want to chance it going out without a warning and ruining the motor. any one dealt with this issue before, and are the smaller motors ya'll use (40 hp and smaller) oil injected or do you mix it manually, thanks.

thanks, torch...............what's the best way to make sure the gas and oil are well mixed?
I just pour a pint to six gallons and then run it.

thats the way i did mine several years ago 1pint of 2cycle oil to 6 gals of gas
fishing from the couch in front of the tv doesnt count
Disconnected mine years ago, 40 mariner. Got a measure from BPS that gives you several fragile to chose from and by the gallons of gas. Keep it in back next to tank with oil. Fill tank, if it takes 3 gal then add to line for 3 gal at 50 to 1 ratio and add to tank. Will be mixed by the time you get to water. Some one said you could find them at Wally world to.
