question about outboard vro pump........and suggestions, please
my warning horn was beeping all the time, so had my 40 hp outboard checked, and the sensor in the vro pump was bad, sending a bad signal, so he just unplugged the sensor......when i thought about it, i didn't want the vro pump without a sensor, so i had him undo the whole oil injection shebang and now im gonna mix the 50:1 oil manually, as a new vro was around 350.00. it is only a 6 gal. tank. the pump itself was good, but did not want to chance it going out without a warning and ruining the motor. any one dealt with this issue before, and are the smaller motors ya'll use (40 hp and smaller) oil injected or do you mix it manually, thanks.
