Thank you Mr. ArToolMan. That's what I have been trying to say to these folks but no one listens to me. That's pretty much what the schedule I sent WB does. It picks the lakes that we like to fish and the best times to fish them. It also adds Okatibbee to the schedule. The whole point of the FJ's is to catch fish when they are known to be biting in years past. Yes, you will have a occurance like Sardis when everybody is catching fish. That's when you ADD a tournament. I don't think anyone would complain about throwing in a extra tournament when the fish are biting. We could have had WB at the ramp pushing the FJ and had 200 boats in it. That's 40 pay-outs.
Seems to me that the concept Wannabe came up with has shifted more from like minded people getting together to enjoy others company to a tournament based event. If this is the case you guys that fish the events need to elect a board to make decisions instead of relying on wannabe and others then turning on them when it doesn't go in the direction you want.
I nominate CRAPPIHOLIC as president!
A'ite now.....I asked that this be kept above the line and it's taking a turn that we don't need to go. Let's discuss not fuss.

Let me preface these comments. I am new to this site and have only fished 1 tournament. Therefore you may want to stop reading this post and move on...
You guys are forgetting about probably the biggest and possibly most scenic Lake in MS. Pickwick. This lake would be different, very different, than any other lake in the circuit. Deep, clearer, and HUGE. There could be a 200 boat bass tournament and a 200 boat crappie tournament at the same time and there would be plenty of room for all. I personally have never fished for crappie at Pickwick, but I am sure they are there in abundance. (you could also go to Bay Springs if Pickwick it too big, or hold it on Bay Springs and only fish in MS waters in Pickwick)
Also, any other pools on the Tenn-Tom waterway, especially Aberdeen to Aliceville have plenty of slabs as well. Different than the reservoirs as well, small channel about 10-12' deep and a whole bunch of backwater and feeder creeks.
There are some lakes over in the delta like Chotard and Albermarl. Another lake I have never been to, but from what I hear, they hold alot of crappie. I know these depend on the MS river stage and might not be a good choice to have a set in stone date scheduled for a tournament.
Another that would be closer to the south bunch (or at least Jackson) is Bee lake. Not sure what capacity of boats this lake could hold, but I feel like 20 or so would be OK.
With this being said, the potential for a monster, 3lbs+ is lower, a whole lot lower, at these lakes than at any of the big 4 COE lakes. Let's face it, why would a crappie club in Mississippi NOT schedule their tournaments on what could be considered the 4 best Crappie lakes in Mississippi or even the nation?
Just cause you're new and extremely gewberish looking don't mean we don't want to read your ideas. New folks, new ideas the way I see it. Besides, we generally don't tell you you're ideas are ignernt until you've been here for at least 6 months, so you get like a free pass. :)
Pickwick is THE most gorgeous setting in all of MS....that said, it's forever from anybody almost, except for Jwhite.....wonder if he's a good cook....anyhow, I've only fished it once for 3 days and always said I want to go back, but it's real hard to bypass Grenada, Enid and Sardis on the way up there.
