I love the fellowship, I love the competitiion, but I see ya'lls point about combining the two at the same time and that shuts off the flow of the info and helpfulness. It's a good point about disconnecting the camps and the FJs.....maybe one we need to consider. The only hitch is, the way I earn my kitchen passes is by marking the FJs on the calendar and working around them. Every time I promise Is I'll bring her some money back....now if we disconnect them, how am I gonna get my kitchen pass?

I've also thought about a "one off" tournament....maybe have 3, 4, or 5 boat teams where we work together to compete against the other teams....that might be something we could do at the Camps instead of a straight up FJ. We could work the teams to include a local to the lake, a frequenter and any number of folks unfamiliar with it. Maybe best 10 of however many boats and very little to no money.....just bragging rights or maybe a trophy that that team would keep till the next Camp? I'm liking this idea....that way I could assign myself to the team that's on the fish best. Just thinking outside the bun here.

You know, usually when you start making rules to exclude people things don't work out very well. Maybe everyone should be welcomed and if "outsiders" win one then we should just work that much harder making them feel welcomed. As far as requiring participation on Crappie.com; we need to remember this internet thing aint for everyone. Some folks will show for a FJ or a camp but they aren't gonna be typing much.
    Just my two cents worth.

Yall's crazy. Way too many competitive egos between us all not to have a FJ at camp. As for lockjaw AFTER the tournament, not sure what some peoples deal is with that. I will gladly tell you everything I know about how I caught my crappie and Mo can tell you how he caught his catfish
