Default My thoughts on the Fall Camp

I think we should have one each week starting the first week in September. We could do Butla, Sardis, Enid, Grenada, Columbus, Ross Barnett, Washington, and finish up mid October at Okitibee. In addition, Speck, Gene, Rip and DD should be forced to cook at each one. I may not get to fish them all, but I'll certainly show up for the eatin'.

If ya think about it, it's really not a bad idea and we'd have a 6.3% chance that at one of them the wind wouldn't blow AND it wouldn't rain.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Speck and I are retiring from cooking the next one. We made that decision Saturday. Got ya'lls cookers ready cause we gonna kick back next time and relax. Fall camp though, Either Sardis or Enid in my opinion. Just cause we'll be on Grenada for the championship. I'd love Barnett but like I said in the other thread, it's just to far for some to drive. We really don;t have alot of places to camp either. Timber Lake is a campground but that's about it on Barnett. Hard to get a place there though from what I've heard to. It is one of the best fall lakes you'll find though.Crank baits and longlining will wear them out

Listen up ya gewbers. We got 2 Jane up camp grounds at Columbus, a pavilion at the east bank ramp and several good restaurants for the night before. And the wind can blow here 29 mph and still be able to fesh. Yea I know some of ya will have to drive a ways, but hey, gas will only be $6.38 a gallon by then and nobody will have a job so it really won't matter.

Yep, Don Don and I are officially retired. We've cooked for the last 4 or 5 camps now. It's time for us to relax and socialize while someone else carries the ball.

I, for one, certainly appreciate ya'll doing all the cooking for the camps that I've been to. It'll be hard to replace ya'll but you do deserve a break. EZ has cooked at a couple but I know how hard it is for him to get off on Saturdays. Maybe I can get the dirt dobbers out of my cooker and bring it next time.
