What do you guys think about fishing this afternoon at Enid after all of the rain we have been getting? I was thinking about trying it IF and only if this storm system passes through. I know the water will be very muddy and the lake level is rising. I was going to try a creek by the dam where me and a couple buddies did pretty well at on Sunday afternoon. We caught approximately 16 crappie (8 keepers) 8 catfish and 8 bass on minnows, beetle spins and Rat-L-Traps in 1-5 FOW. Do ya'll think it would be worth a shot this afternoon with the low winds if the system clears out? Any suggestions on where in the creek they may be-I am thinking they would likely have moved even shallower in the flooded grass?

Yeah, I will. I certainly won't be going if it's like that up here. But the winds are supposed to calm down significantly up here at 3 or 4, so we'll see. Being on the lake with 20 mph wind and thunderstorms is a definite no go for me.
With the water rising like that, might run into a little lockjaw. Catfish oughta be tearing it up in the creeks though.

That is what I was thinking too SBC, caught some pretty decent channels the other day on those jumbo minnows from Slyva Rena bait shop. At least if the crappie aren't biting there ought to be something to stretch my string!
Toss a cast net in the spillway for some 3" to 4" shad and fish with those...give your string a sho-nuff workout!
