Southern Marine dewd says he hasn't had much luck bending them back out. They usually break. So he didn't want to attempt it.

Ed's prop shop said no problem, they do it all the time for around $200. But then I remembered that yall said his help is questionable.

Wondering what I should do. Anybody have any suggestions? Anybody have another connection that I could call up this way?

I'm trying to get off cheap, but concidering turning it in on insurance ($500 deductable and then my rates will probably go up)

You better find out how much internal damage has been done before you start messing with it. I bet you're going to want to turn it into insurance. That's what it's for. Mr. CN hit something underwater in the river and tore up the lower unit and bent up some of the innards. Took $3900 to repair it, they covered it all but the deductible and our rates didn't increase the next year other than just a fraction.

Good idea. Only takes one little crack in a bearing race to make that thing self-destruct...

THey fixed it back like new and we never had any problems with it! The visible damage wasn't much but when they took off the lower unit it was NOT GOOD inside!
