I took my prop to Eds prop shop yesterday morning. He pressed in a new hub, straightened and balanced it in an hour or so while I waited. He did a fine job for me.
ES, I done told you, there's only like a 5% or less chance you did more damage than just the skeg....the hitch is, with your luck, it very well could be and you're running the risk of some serious, serious stewpit tax if you're in that 5%.....beg, borrow or steal the $ to get that LU checked by somebody that knows how.....it ain't rocket science and most any experienced mechanic of any sort will have the tools to see that it's like it's supposed to be....all that's needed is a good dial and a vaccum gauge.
Hurry up and quit putting it off. You'll feel better when they tell you it's A-OK.
