Default That Terrova is the cats meow

Went to Barnett yesterday with a fiend and that first hour, well, was kinda embarrasing. Couldn't keep it where I wanted it or I'd have it off and then when I'd turn it on, I guess I accidently speeded it up, just all kinds of crazy stuff with the co pilot and my errors. Finally bout the time we left, I got where I understood how to adjust the direction and speed like I needed to. After 3 hours of use, I decided to see what the top end speed was pulling my heavy boat with me at 215 and a friend that weighs about 285-290. Still got her up to 3.7 MPH!!!! I'm betting I can get her up over 4 with just me in it. Gonna get the foot control out this evening and see how that works. OH, the bite was slow yesterday evening, picked up a 1/2 dozen even with my not being able to stay on the spot for the first hour n a half or so. No one was just wearing them out. Just one here and there. I sho do love it being able to fish til almost 8:30

I tried mine out for the first time Saturday, I love it The Advanced Co Pilot holds it on course good, and I like the I-pilot and the SpotLock function also....had some wind and the Spotlock still did a great job holding the boat in position. We slow trolled for several hrs. and the battery test still showed four lights , so that tells me the built in Maximizer is doing a good job.

Awesome G, I don't have a Owners Manual so I'm having to guess at things. HOW do you do a battery test?

There is a battery test button on the base of my Terrova.....4 lights is full charge, three lights 3/4 charge, etc. This button will not work with the motor running. When the prop is not turning you can test your batteries. My unit is the Terrova with the factory installed I-Pilot and Universal Sonar. It also has the built in Maximizer.

Push the yellow button on the base of the unit and look for pretty lights to come on.

Dang... 3.7 mph... That is moving. You must have a 101 lb thrust. I can get my boat to 3 mph with my 80 lb thrust.... Have you accidently hit the "rabbit" button yet? I hit it almost every time I go out fishing. If you have your terrova pointed to the side and you hit it.. It will about throw you out the boat. haha

I hit the rabbit button on mine and it was turned to the right....it seemed like it lifted the bow of the boat a couple of inches and then kicked hard to the right......had to hang on , lol.
