Thread: Terrova hookup

No doubt man. I know how to hook the wires up but not sure how to go about getting the wires from the center console to the back of the boat. . It's got some 1 1/2 inch tubes that have wires coming through them. What's the easiest way to get new wires though there? Just feed them through and HOPE for the best?

I have a used throttle cable i got from a boat shop that was used took it out of the casing it's flexible but stiff so you can push it thru then tape the wires to it and pull them thru.

Really like them there 90 degree elbow Don Don Special set backs on that front holder there Mr. Haney. And I totally agree that to put 4 more #6 screw holes in that deck would have been WAAAAAYYYY more trouble.

OK, I'm done.....but now, listen up and listen up real good like. Gooder than ever before. It appears to me that battery is just sitting on top of a piece of plywood. THAT WILL NOT DO!!!! Minimum, you want that backer screwed down and the battery strapped to it. Last thing you want is for it to go east when you're turning west on the road or worse yet, for you to be fiddling with kicking it back in place while running through a stump field. Its called a fish tape. Just push it through the conduit, tape your wire to it and pull it through. Or use the fish tape to pull a string through the conduit and tie off to the wire and pull it through with the string.

I got 5 bucks says that at the Next FJ, DonDon will be dragging the fish tape that's stuck behind the gunnel behind his boat claiming the hole time that it's way better than a drift sock.

Don, here is a heads up, when locking the terrova in the stow position slide the lock collar all the way down. If you don't and get premature deployment it will rip that bad boy off the boat. I heard this could happen.

I was being serious yo gewb. I'm right proud I got done what's done and I'm wanting to hook this up the right way. Terrova is installed thanks to Majors help but I got it wired for 36 volts and where it's at is only temporary until the weekend when were supposed to have 25-40 MPH winds. I just put it on the boards to keep it off the deck for a couple trips. We don't have stumps where I'll be fishing the next 2 days, just open water so I ain't worried about it moving around at all. I'm thinking that the heavy gauge ware I have to install for the battery is stiff enough that I can push it right on through. It'll be 2 wires taped together since I have to run 2 wires for the 36 volt to work correctly and that SHOULD be stiff enough. No play nice or stay out of the thread ya gewb. Real and practical advice only allowed

LOL Torch. I'll be careful. I had it down abit ago making sure it worked and was trying to figure out how to raise it since there wasn't a rope to pull it up like I've had on the 3 or 4 TM's I've owned in the past. Had to call Major to ask him how to raise the dang thing. He made sure and tell me to be careful it's locked in place
