Thumbs Up Truer words have never been spoken. You hafta take into account EVERYTHING...boat type, weight, cargo/passenger weight, horsepower, power band and redline, purpose [pulling skier, top end, holeshot, etc.]. There are several calculators online to give you a rough guesstimate, but I'd hit the prop shop like Wannabe said, just to be sure.

Well I broke out the dremmel tool yesterday. I got a good 1/4 inch of clearance now. I am going to grind it a little more and round off the edges of the trim tab. My dremmel tool battery died on my yesterday. Hope to finish it tonight and I will post some pictures...

For a second there, I thought you were grinding on the prop....then I remembered, you're OOG, not ES.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

DD says if you grind too much off you can build it back up with duct tape

Yeah... Only one blade on the prop was close to touching... As you see in the picture... SS is not that hard to grind... I was surprised....

Well I got more clearance now.... LOL. I took the dremmel tool to it yesterday. I got at least a 1/4 inch clearance now. That is much better than a 1/16 or less. We will see how it does this weekend...
