I've always unhooked my boat from the trailer and have it ready to put in the water before backing down.

The reason I do it so no one has to wait on me to get out of the way. I detest the sob's that back down to the water and then get out of their truck and start getting their boat ready for fishing. I have seen folks sit in line below the spillway for 1 1/2 hours and then when it is teir turn to launch their boat, they begin loading everything except the sink.

and then after they load everything their "WOMAN" drives over with the car that is also full of "STUFF" and blocks the other lane and they offload more stuff. Those are the ones that I LOVE the most!
