Alright.. I guess I am in kind of a trouble making mood but here we go:
After a good deal of ciphering on the subject, I think for the competitive sport of crappie fishing to be interesting enough to a nationwide audience for an ESPN and to be capable of lending itself to supportive commercial advertising the competitive sport will have to go to single pole artificial bait only competition. That is just the way it is..
I have seen some feedback from crappie shows that featured trolling minnows and it was terrible. Test audience rating not unsellable.
Good ahead and tell me how you don't care about TV shows and tournaments.. but before you do.. study a bit about Bass fishing and how the competitive sport and TV changed the very rules and laws of Bass fishing.. Again that is just the way it is...
All that said I own trolling poles and troll a great deal but I figure my children will have to learn to catch them "single pole" fishing.

Best post made on here in a long time!!! I agree who in the wolrd would want to watch boats trolling back and forth on the water!!! Its much more interesting seeing folks jerking those slabs outta brushpiles, cypress tree,...etc!!!!
