    Default Towing question

How big of a fifth wheel camper can I pull with my '07 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 with a 5.7 HEMI? The GVWR is 6700 pounds. Do I subtract the actual weight of the truck and passengers ect. To get the net carrying capacity? Thanks

I pull a 32 ft fifth wheel and a boat with my GMC 12 ton 4wd. I put a set of super springs on it and good to go.

Speck, as long as your suspension will handle it the truck will pull it. Either airbags on the rear or super springs. I like the super springs because they do not affect your ride under normal circumstances. They only work when you load them. Get a 5th wheel hitch with a super slide and a brake controller and you are in business.

You could pull a double wide iffen ya wanted to....now stopping it is a different deal.

Don't know the truck, but you're definitely going to want to put a transmission cooler on that thing if it doesn't have one and a good brake controller and bags or springs like Torch said. And don't be following nobody you like too close neither. If they gewbers, it'd be OK to though.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

The Mr. has a 1500 4x4 2009 Hemi and it has a trans. cooler on it but it would definitely need airbags before it could handle a 5th wheel!!!

Thanks all. It has a tow package on it already so the transmission cooler is there. Super Springs are a great idea

I pull a 32 ft fifth wheel with a F250 diesel and I installed airbags on it. I pump them to 60 psi with a 12v air pump and just let all but 10 psi out when I get there. My camper has a bedroom slide which gives me lots of hitch weight.
