    i have the same okumas that wb posted on b&m poles...............they work great. that's still a good price at 26.99.

    Hey Creek, on the planer boards. Don;t you let out the line you need, then hook the planer board to it, securing it in place, then let out the ammount of line you want to get it away from the boat? I'm guessing that's how they work

    Pretty much so but you need a stiff rod because of the resistance the planer board puts on the rod.

    Thanks man, I figured you'd need a stiffer rod with the ammount of drag put on them. I can dang sure see why they'd some in handy at times

    Yikes is the man when it comes to planer boards. I only use them when I am fishing the Big 4 and have got someone else in the boat with me. Can't use them up here, water lice would run over them.

    betting they'd work great if you're wanting to fish Shallow with cranks but keep the baits away from the boat so not to spook the fish

    I can tell you that shallow water and baits near the boat does not necessarily spook the fish.
