Wilbur, my boat is the same, had a 48 & it worked fine, lost it (my bad), & replaced it with two 48's. Don't know if I'll ever use them but I have them if needed.

I'm trying to decide which size to get for our 18 1/2 ft. War Eagle Predator also. Not sure if I need I big one or two smaller ones. Sure can't beat these prices.

At those prices, pick one or two and pull the trigger.

Bigger is better if your slow trolling. Use the smaller sizes to dial in your speed when pulling cranks with your big motor.

For slow trollin' drifting....Get the bigger ones. I use two 54"ers and they are fine most days (18' tin boat). There are days when I need them to be bigger.

At least, 60" 's would be better. Keep a couple chains in the boat for when you need to be in the stumps. Stumps and socks don't get along so well.
