    Went to boat ramp this am and backed in cranked motor and started working as soon as it turned over. Must have not been getting enough water from the muffs.

    good news. but still, if the motor is new to you and you don't know the history you should put a new one in. it's best to put in a kit the first time to be sure that the housing and gaskets are good.
    You just gonna sit there an argue, or fish?
