Our Lowrance does that. You have to really "listen" for it, but you can hear the ticking and it's always done it and our old HB did that, too. Some of the folks on here are hard of hearing so they prolly don't realize theirs does it, too, Hunter...

The clicking sound is normal. Normally the rate and power switches automatically by the unit depending on the conditions. Add in atmospherics and sometimes you can hear it, sometimes you cant.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

I hear the clicking sound from both my US2 and 898 transducer. The 898 is much quieter than the US2. The US2 is real loud.

What we have here is a failure to communicate. Each transducer has a signal cone which is how wide your signal is in the depth water you are in. The deeper the water, the wider your signal. If you are in say 20-25 fow, your cones could be bouncing off of each other, therefore making the clicking noise. Next time this happens, change the transducer frequency on one of the units. That should stop it. Bill is in the mail.
