you guys that run your live well aerators all day, do you have timers on them or just flip the switch and it runs continuously?

Actually both. The top of the switch activates the timer function and the bottom is manual or continuous.

I've got the "timer" switches ordered for my boat, been on order since Oct.

mine will do both like yikess said, just depends on where I place the switch. Spring of the year you are ok with a timer, but the hotter the water gets the more air they need
Mine have both,1 to tell when to come on and 1 to tell how long to run. Turn them on and forget about them.
Timer is more better. This time of the year, I set it for as low an on time as it will allow. Heck, with this water temp, you can throw 'em in a bucket and they'll live for a day. Spring I set it about once every 5 minutes. Even in the summer, I set it for about 50% on and 50% off....the fish are gonna keel over anyhow for the most part, but I want that motor to crank when I hit the key and dang the fish. Now, in a tournament, I'd run it on constant in the summer, but I do keep jumper cables with me as well.
