Going to order first set of rod holders for trolling today, and can not make mind up. HI-teks or cumberland crappie? I like both but i like the cumberlands due to holders that adjust with me being a rookie troller![]()

Like Sat said, have EZ make you some or go with the HI-TEK's. Those Cumberland holders are a piece of junk. To many opperating parts. Keep it simple as possible. Get with G3, he has EZ pole holders.
Ive had Hi Tek Tite Lock, River Road, Bee Ready and Driftmaster,
The Hi Tek's are the best in my oppinion

Hi Teks are the best I've ever used. Yes. You can fully adjust each individual holder separately! I did remove all of the bolts from mine and replaced them with threaded knobs so I don't have to carry a wrench with me to adjust them. They are perfect now

The main advantage of EZ's are the stem is adjutable up and down, that and the design is more secure for pulling cranks from the side. I have a set and like them. That said, never heard anyone say they didn't like the Hi-Teks and never heard of anyone having a problem pulling from the side with his either.
Both are good fellas to boot. Only difference is EZ has a square head and Scotts is more roundish.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
