    Default Eagle FishElite 480

I know there is a section just for this but would rather talk with locals who fish the same lakes I do, plz don't move...

I am wanting to get some new electronics for my boat as of now I am basically fishing blind with what came on my boat but am on a budget. BPS has the Eagle FishElite 480 grey scale for $209 so I could get 2. It is gps+waas the reviews are good for the most part but what do y'all thank they are made by Lowrance right ? Could I link them together later if I wanted? Any help would be great .
If the fish aren't bitting just remember your not at work ! :D

Don't know bout the linkin part (prolly not) but Theys a couple of good sayins that come to mind on these units:
    1) you get what you pay fer.
    B) cheap shoes will always hurt yo feet.
III) if ya buy a yoyo with no string, what good is it?

With this bein said and havin used a SI fer a while now, me personally, I would make the wife get a second job, if you have a wife and if you don't have a wife, I would go get one that already has a job and make her help pay fer a si/di unit.

I run 2 of these on my boat, and that being said they arent the best out.....BUT...I love mine!!!! they are easy to use, I can get them to show arches (fish) and structure....and I'm not sure how I ever fished w/out GPS....have had one unit for multiple seasons & just picked the 2nd one up this year.....there are better out for more $$$$...but these are pretty good units, I will use mine until I can afford SI...

I'm 99% sure you cant link em, but you can share your waypoints via and sd card bery easily

yes they are made by lowrance, kinda the entry level lowrance

have a great one, God bless

Yea I know what they say whoever ( they ) are but I don't want di/si and am on a budget biggest thang is the GPS and the fact that the lowrance unit that came mounted in the dash needs a new $150 transducer for a 7 year old cheap unit... There is no way I am gonna put more money in electronics than I paid for the boat.

Blue, hang on a day or two, I'll lood at the units that I took off my boat when I went to 788 & 998. They are Eagles, one is even color, they worked good just weren't sexy enough for me.

Those are very good low cost units. They will do a good job for ya as a lot of people that I know have those and they love them. I don't think you can link them together
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

When you step up to a color unit with approx the same pixels as the monochrome units youre gonna drop alot more money to purchase it. Color units are way easier to read in the daytime. You aint gotta worry about blocking the sunshine to see the graph. Being on a budget there's nothing wrong with a monochrome graph.I'd probably buy 1, get it mounted, and see how well I liked it before buying the second one though. You may also want to add a Navonics lake map chip for another @ $100 (per unit)too.:o
