I spider rig by myself a lot and run 4 rods with 8 differant colors on to start out each time. I have only two times remember when they only wanted one color. Most of the time it is a mixture of differant colors they will take. But for some reason on two occasions the first 4 or 5 fish hit the same rod with a Orange/Chartruse slab slayer. So started changing out other rods to it and caught fish on that color the rest of the morning. One other time fishing the same strecth of bank they wanted Blue/Chartruse and nothing else. So it happens for sure. But most days I can catch fish on about any color when slow trolling in spring. But those two days for sure they knew what color they wanted and did not take me long to start changing out slab slayer colors to give them what the wanted. Until then I always swore that color did not make much differance. But those two days proved me wrong.
