I used to run my airbrush between 35 and 40 psi. Do you have a air pressure regulator on your compressor ? or did you buy one of those cheap air brush compressors that have a fixed rate of flow?

OK, Don, the thing with the guage on it is the air pressure regulator......turn the red knod clockwise and you should see the pressure come up on your guage. Turn it up to 35 lbs. It will drop when you trigger the air brush....this is normal.....it should go back to 35 when you take your finger off the trigger button. You got a good one Paasch is the best. I have the same air brush that you have and I run mine off of my shop air compressor ( 5 hp).....I have to turn the air pressure way down on it to get to 35 psi but it works good. I have not done any painting in years but I might get back at it sometime.

where the red ring it, I raised the black thing above it and turned it last night. I turned it BOTH WAYS, clockwise and cvounter but didn't see any change in pressure. I assuemed that was the regulator but since it didn't change the pressure, I wasn't sure
