    i would have done the same thing.................run the dogs off and pray for the best, the doe will probably bo ok, i hope.

    After much careful thought and consideration, I think you'd be better off puttin her down - then go take care of the deer. Didn't look like there was an real damage, just a flesh wound. I've seen them come back from way worse. She'll heal up and be fine. The lady down the street however, will be stewpit for ever. No fixin that.............

    A three legged deer can get by just as well as one with 4 good legs. Done seen it a few times. She looks like she didnt have a real lot of damage as long as infection doesnt set in, which I think wont happen. With a little rest she'll be fine. You did good.
