I was reading about the science behind the "electric chicken" color combination and that little light bulb came on. Colors opposite each other on the color wheel stand out more so why not paint some cranks that way. I just put my top coat on so these are not finished, but I had to show them.

Thanks, I'm just wondering if they'll catch a crappie's eye. I guess that's why lots of sports teams use colors opposite each other on the color wheel. LSU, Auburn, to name a couple. This is the article I read about the color wheel.

One thing to keep in mind when you're painting them and I'm gonna do the same when I get better and am ready to make finished products. Crappie bite UP and will only see the bottom of the crankbait so maybe take your top color a little lower so it can be seen from a fish biting from below
