    Default Rez - Last week...

Well I fished the Rez last week from Monday till Thursday. Monday was a bust. I tried to long line early but the wind was terrible. I did some more scouting and hit a few stumps. When leaving at noon a talked to a guy at the ramp that had some luck under the bridge so I decided to go back to the bridge and single pole a while. I managed to catch one fish but ran across Lunker and his crew. They had a limit and gave me some tips so I knew where I was going to be on Tuesday. (Thanks Lunker!)

I got up early Tuesday with my father and little brother in tow. We were easing out the no wake zone from Tommy's when a boat passed up and when exactly to the set of pilings we were going to.... So we settled for the next set of pilings over and got to watch them catch there limit by ten o'clock. We managed 17 crappie out of the three of us that day.

On Wednesday I knew that i would be at that hot spot. I woke up at 4 o'clock and was in the water at Tommy's by 4:30. I was the first one to the spot and ready. I managed 30 crappie by 10 o'clock. The boat next to me was doing even better. I noticed them chunking fish back as fast as possible all of a sudden... and wouldn't you know it.. Mr. Green Jeans was right behind us... LOL. He checked our licenses and was real nice guy.

On Thursday I was at Tommy's again by 4:30. I buddy of mine from work came with me and it was COLD. We caught 43 crappie by 10:30 and hit the road. All in all it was a good week.

Pictures from my first Rez limit on Wednesday. They were not real big. Mostly around 12 inches and a few around 14 inches.

Way to go Zack. You got to hand it to Lunker, most folks would have kept that spot under their hat.
