DG looks like you got the SI figured out. Those are some good pics.
As for that cloud crossing the channel. Last couple of weeks I have seen the exact same thing at the waterway. I have seen it a few times before also. It is too consistent to be bait.
My therory is it is a mixing of water temps.
Thats what I figured DD... but don't know what it is... I see it all the time when I cross a channel.

The cloudy stuff when you cross a channel is a mystery to me also. I thought it was cold dense water but the surface water is 47 degrees. Not sure how much colder the water on the bottom could be. I see it alll the time also.. Summer and winter at around 20 feet or more.
