Dumb nerd. Never had much money so I never had a boat. Bass fished since b/f I could remember, some way or another. Managed to wiggle my way through college while working in an Icthyology lab, among other jobs, where I learned a bunch of scientific fish names and other specific nonsense about fish (Prob the only reason I graduated). While I would never pick up another overpriced baitcaster for the life of me, I carry my work with me as a reminder. Other than that, catch me in a tiny boat with only a TM in the back of a bayou dippin jigs.

Mine came from my dad and a bunch of guys he fishes with all the time. Whenever they would take someone new out fishing with them that was a greenhorn they would tell them that they would be getting a lesson in Slabology 101 today. So myselsf as a teacher of slabology 101 coined the name Slabologist a professor of Slabology 101 then it was shortended to Slabo because we are all lazy and didn't want to type in the longer version and the proof is in the photos ! :D

Not much story to mine. I have been trolling crankbaits for a long time. Actually started way before it was the cool thing to do.
