    Default Hawkins Field Today

Went out to get a good look at the airplane that won WWII, not to demean any others ie, P-51, L-3, but this big bird broke the back of the German war making machine more that any other. There were some WWII vets there today too, some had crewed one just like this. The sound and smell of those big radials cranking made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Her name is Aluminum Overcast.

Are they on their way to Pensacola for the Blue Angels's Homecoming Airshow? They always have it on Fri. and Sat. of Veteran's Day weekend. Thanks for the pics Major, that's neat!

WB, not sure what your problem with pics is, I resized them so they would fit the screen. Guess that's one more thing you got that ain't big enough.:D:D:D
