The way I see it is, this'll be my last season to have to deer hunt. My oldest will be 16 next year and he can drive himself and his brother to the club. I will hunt only when I want to, not every single weekend. With that bein said, I never said I didn't enjoy bein with my kids. Jus satin I don't enjoy their hobby anymore. And that's sad too, cause 10 or 8 years ago I thought our club couldn't operate without me bein there. Now I could care less if I go or not. The kids is the only reason I go.

Missed your post Aunte CN. The trouble with your offer is that you're in MO. I sorta think it's an awful lot of troulble to drive 9 miles to the camp now. You'd be hard pressed to get me over 20 miles for a deer these days.

I'm right there with you Minner. Used to take it bad serious. Now, I keep looking at all those guns in the cabinet and thinking....that's a HDS10 right there.....and that one could be a 542 War Eagle.

    Stewpit deer.

Funny how things change...huh Wannabe? When you and I was younger we used to to couldn't go over a couple days without gettin in a deer stand. I have gotten to where I don't care about deer hunting either.....would rather fish or squirrel hunt myself.

Buy Low, sell high. Actually, I've got one in particular that'd be worth a Predator. A 1962 Browing T-Bolt, Left handed. Only one ever made without factory sites. Had a guy offer my Dad 10K in '74 site unseen. Little dude will shoot the eyes out of a squirrel too.

Got several high dollar jobs...for what, I don't know. Coolest to me is a Remington 7MM Mag in BDL that we had rebarrelled by McMillan into a 338. Loaded a round of 200 shells for a Bear Hunt, took it to the range, put 3 in .33 inches, Next 3 rounds resulted in 2 bear and there it sits. Dangest thing. Can't think for the life of me why I'm keeping it. Very few bear around my house and never have seen a Moose the whole time I've lived here.

Honestly, none other than the Tbolt is all that remarkable, but have you priced guns lately? Dadgum...don't know how I'm going to afford to outfit the boys when it's time.

I was big into shooting last year. Especially long range shooting (600 to 1200 yards). Sold several guns to buy the boat I got now. Still got my 600 yard tournament gun that has been real tempting to sale.... but I think I would regret it so I am holding on to that one.

This year is my first year to not deer hunt and try fishing all winter. I really like it a lot better. Keeps me moving. Change is a good thing.

Got the same one Creek. Mark V in 270 Weatherby Magnum. Weird thing is, I never did like the gun. Still don't.

    Got a purty stock though.
