00G, you need to spend the money and go to Bass Pro. Bill Dance has a net at there that's extendable to like 8 feet that will work for what you want. I sure hate mine got stolen cause I liked it better than the Ego net. It's just to flimsy but I got what I got now. The Bill dance one is a coated net and it's got the strength to boat the stripers and with the coated net, you're cranks won't get caught up in it.

They recommend 5 lbs max weight in them. The net I ordered only weighs 1.8 lbs. The totally rubber one I have now must weigh 5 lbs.
    Scottv,

I don't think you will be sorry.

Not me ES. I use a long pole, short piece of 20# mono, and I'll let you guess what I put on the end of the line.

Sure don't have a link. I have the Ego now because everyone told me it was a better net. I'm not overly fond of the Ego net. Just to dang flimsy in my opinion. When I was at Pickwick this summer and got the big catfish into the net, sucker bent real bad. yeh, the spacing of the net and it being rubber is good for cranks but with it being so far apart and me double rigging Jigs and minners, I have a problem with when I net a fish, the other loose jig goes down in between the holes almost every time and gets tangled. It's fairly easy to untangle but still, it gets tangled. The Ego net to me is a great net for cranks but not jigging

Good thing you're old as dirt or I'd whip ya.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
