Going to be a sad situation if we don't get much rain this winter.

They could hold up a bit till it did start to rain.

Has it been this low this early?

Dodgeman the Corps uses a rule curve to draw down the lake. They are on schedule so far but should shut the spillway down soon.

Also anyone that uses Hernando Point at Butla really needs to start being very careful. I was able to launch but I had to back in so far that the rear wheels were almost in the sand to get my boat off the trailer. Not good.
I put in at Hernando pt Saturday (before the rain). 1st time with my new ride (2 wheel drive), and yes I had to back about 8 ft down into the sand. Did a little spinning coming out without the boat. Made me clinch the cheeks abit. Will be using my 4x4 if I go again this weekend

That's why I like Barnett. The water level will range from 296 in the winter to 297.5 in the summer. Never a dust storm. I have only seen the water level below 296 was when we had a bad drought back in 96 or 97. Got so bad that PRV talked about clossing the ramps.

Torch- there is a good campground at the 43 ramps behind Tommy's. They have their on ramp and pier.

so lets say you get the new ride stuck in the sand....... what happens then? gotta call the missus and have her come drag you out with the 4x4? Is that what you mean by having it when you need it???
