Default They're just now starting to move on Barnett

Put the boat in Saturday and went to Barnett for a couple hours or so and they're just now starting to move into fall pattern. I fished just under 3 hours and brought home bout 10 good fish. They were all over 13 inches with one about 15 inches. Course the dinks were out in full force but hey, least I was getting bites bout constantly and brought home enough for a couple meals. I've GOT to track down my camera and put it in the boat. Bout the time I got out there good, the wind picked up for about an hour. It never did white cap but was just starting to get a little rough when it laid down totally bout 9 or so. SLICK AS GLASS I tell ya. Guess I should have known it was gonna do that cause the weatherman at 5:30 said breasy weather in store for Saturday. LOL Great day, not much boat traffic where I was and the fish were biting. Sho was nice to have to spider rigging poles out

Sounds like a good day DD. Got a little slow trolling time in Saturday myself. Nice change of pace!

Glad you go to go and get some!

I have been off the past 4 days and the wind blew 20 mph the whole time. Back at work today and wouldn't ya know it, dead calm out there!

Nice job DD... We were confined to the Bay on Friday.. The wind never let up. Did manage to catch 12 crappie pulling cranks. Seems that most of the find were still close to the causeway as was the bait fish. Sure do wish I could have tried the big water... maybe this weekend. The surface water temps in the Bay were 75 degrees... What was the big water temps?

Not a bad day though for ya. Water temp was 71 degrees around 9ish on me up the lake. Next time you go, let me know and I'll tell you a good place to try. LOTS of baitfish and that's where the crappie are starting to move to

Yeah I was surprised I caught any... Solid Chartruese was the color. First time I have pulled in the Bay.

I'll give you a call... I hope to slip out there sometime this weekend if possible. The water temp has changed faster that I thought... Never thought it would cool off that fast..

yeh, it cools off fast. Now if it'll EVER RAIN, it'll cool off faster and the thermocline will disappear. I did notice that my minners that I had down at 16 feet didn't die real fast

It sho is fun sitting there in your chair and then out of the corner of your eye you see half your rod go up under the boat. That's what I call fun right there
