Is it just me...... I see threads on that "nail". Course I am overdue for an eye exam. Looks less like a nail and more like a screw........

That looks to be a deck nail, or barn nail with a ring shank to keep the nail from jumping up when the wood dries and weathers.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Default You don't use to many nails do ya CN

take a gander at the shaft of the nail, just below the head of it next time. It's got some ridges that keep it from working it's way loose.

doing my best Beavis right now. He He He He He just sayin

Default May have come from me BUT

I do know how to drive a nail, what kind of nail to drive and how deep to drive that sucker. I did have 4 years of Votech in High School. I can weld, hook up lektrical wiring, build stuff with other stuff and puddy up holes in the wooden storage cabinets that were from making throwing stars out of 60d nails and a welding machine.

I been on my drilling rig all day laughing about all this. Got some strange looks when I would check my Blackberry and start laughing with nobody around. At lunch my job inspector asked me if I was "high". After I explained to him the whole deal he was laughing as well.
