In case anyone plans on making a trip on I-40 or I-55 thru Memphis be advised they are woking on the I-40 bridge and will be until the end of Nov. It will be down to 2 lanes and they are diverting traffic to the 55 bridge, traffic was backed up for 10 miles yes. So be prepared for long waits. Or plan another route.

You talkin about the passover at 240-40? I'm headed for BPS at lunch, so I might need to re-route if that's the case.

It's the I40 bridge...or as some call it the new bridge...the one by the Pyramid. one lane open on both sides.

Ya won't be able to by-pass Memphis unless you want to go out of the way by 100 miles or so. Make sure you take the I55 route when in West Memphis or you will hit the one lane traffic on the I40 bridge.
