They stocked fingerlings. There used to be lots of them in Sardis, but since they don't reproduce, they all were caught or went down river.

Some good fish in there the creel and limit might help, prob. is the GWs cant be there 7/24 to catch the dudes coming out with short fish and over the limit. Got rumers going around that some of that crowd has moved to butla. Keeping everything they catch. They are in for a big surprise if i see em.

It's kinda sad. I grew up fishing Flower Lake(I will never forget them blue holes), then North Lake and now Lakeview. Same type situation for all I mentioned. Got to admit that lately Lakeview was like giving a dog a bone. Kinda wonder where the dogs gonna move now. If you have fished Lakeview the past few years you know what I mean. If I were yall I would put spike strips up around Butla(Of course I'll get a free pass since it's my idea):D.

Its a sad situation when private individuals can control the oxbows etc. The water ought to be public.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

The water is public! Access is the problem. Maybe we should all go in on a float plane.

I, personally, have had 2 excellent back-to-back years on Lakeview catching LARGE crappie. For those that say that the crappie fishing on Lakeview is poor leads me to believe that they haven't quite figured out how/when/where to find them on that lake. It's true that you won't catch the really large crappie that can be found on Butla, but I don't have to catch 3lb crappie to have a wonderful experience either.

If they lock me out of that lake, then I feel sorry for all my fellow perch-jerkers on Arkabutla... Move over boys...There's a new kid in town...And he's HUNGRY!!!!
