    Default Fish / Ski Combo???

Ok. Before the namecalling and the yanking of my mancard begins, I'm looking for some real feedback. I plan on buying a boat next year. I have a couple of soon-to-be 3 year olds. They're still a little young, but I like the idea of getting my kids involved in some outdoor activities. So, I'm wondering if a man can get by with such a contraption as this? Of course it would need to be set-up for trolling and pulling, but still, would it be halfway practical to fish out of? I would still have my aluminum to use if needed during the spawn in the backwaters. I don't think the wife knows such an animal exists and I'm a little ruluctant to tell her. Thoughts?

Default Yeh, you can fish out of that

I just sold my Nitrp Fish/Ski combo and it's actually not that bad to fish out of. I mounted some rod holders up front and in the rear for spider rigging

Wouldn't suit me, I would be more apt to look at a deepV glass fishing boat. You could tube or ski behind it, but it would be more fishing friendly.

Looks kind of like a Yankee boat, have seen some twin windshields with a center section, like that on bigger boats that they use in the Great Lakes. Be nice going back in during a rain storm just uses up a lot of room but looks like a good compromise fishing/family boat to me.

Don't do it ES. Feelay's on to it. Those Fish/Skis are way more Skis than Fish. You'd be much better off with a 4 back seating Walleye type boat.

Go look at a Crestliner Fish Hawk 1850 SC and tell me what a family couldn't do in that boat all the while fishing a heck of a lot better than that stanky Stratos above.

And definitely don't go with a walk through windshield. Limits the front fishing deck awful, but would be nice for Dec and Jan fishing.

Oh, and what mancard? We confiscated that last week.

I do hear that the stratos has a built in club sammich holder though.
