    EMPTY STRINGER,
There is a lot of good advice being given here. I have been using a combo for the last 6 years. It was not my first choice for a fishing machine but when you are spending that kind of money the Mrs. definitely has something to say about it. WB is right when he says it is more ski than fish, however, I have mounted Driftmaster rod holders front and rear and fine it quite satisfactory. The windshields take up quite a bit of space but they sure are nice running in the rain and the cold. Really makes mommy happy. Happy wife, Happy life. There are other advantages like room under the drivers console to store a porta potty, really good for wife and kids. My boat only has live wells in the rear which I do not like at all but that's the way it is. One other thing I like is that you can mount a tow bar in the rear seat post holder and it really makes it great to take the kids and grandkids tubing and skiing. There are disadvantages and advantages to everything but I can honestly say that if you are thinking about a little fun for all the combo is worth a look.

    EMPTY STRINGER,

I would consider it an honor to be amongst such a great group of people. However I have just had a pacemaker installed and I am not allowed to drive. It would be quite a drive for us and I am not sure my nerves would be able to stand the Mrs. driving that far. I truly hope everyone has a great time. It would be neat to tie a face with these handles and maybe someday I will be able to do that.

ES you might look at a toon for a family/fishing rig.My uncle had a 26ft toon with a 115hp it had a front fishing area with two fishing seat. It had the tm and ff up there. It had like a couch along the back of the boat. It was great for tubing behind. We would tie it up and nite fish all nite and he would bring a small bbq grill. It was a blast fishing out there all nite and cooking dinner out on the lake.

I had my pacer installed 10 years ago and I drove myself home 100 miles without any problems.

A glass boat like the one in the pic aint gonna be any easier on that 4 banger than a toon would be.
