The further from the boat your baits are the less spoked the fish are. I use 2-18'ers 2-14'ers and 2-10'ers. When I used BnM's I had 2-20's 2-14's and 2-8's. Grizzly Jig and Monkscrappie both sell Tightline Specials.

Ideally, you want 4' of seperation between your lines to minimize tangles. I usually pull 6 poles....2- 8', 2- 12', 2- 16'. If I want to pull 8 I add 2- 14' poles in front of the 16's rigged with a 2 oz weight.

If you want a cheaper pole that works well you can go with the BnM West point glass poles. I run a pair of 8' footers and a pair of 12 footers. You can pick up four of them for about the price of two of the Pro staff poles.

Well i went on and ordered 2 16' B&M Pro Trollers from Grizzly. I thought about staying with the TightLine Specials but I decided to give the B&M's a try since all I have know is around 20 or so Wally Tightlines and Mighty Light's. I have also read from a few guy's like DD that the new Tightlines with the Yellow Tips are not holding up as well as the older ones. These will be the first poles I have ever owned that are over 14'.

Sat runs the tightline specials. The only problem I have with them is the braided line always wraps itself around the last 4 eyes on the 16 and 14 ft poles. They are much stiffer and you don't get a good bend out of them.

the braided line wrapping around the rod tip. Then ya got to slide the rod butt way to the front of the boat to get to the tip of a 16 footer
