    A 12 volt fan works good when there is not a breeze. Get one with the metal blades though and not the plastic ones. NAPA has them.

    Got one but mine is rechargable or 8 d cell batts and 12v. But when it gets to that i stay parked in the ac. Got ac in my shop and i spend a lot of time in there.

    It has 2 zip screen windows in it to allow for some air circulation.

    The pole is telescopic, but will not articulate. With it being 9' across, I can just move it front, back or middle of the boat to throw a shadow where I need it. I think it will be fine in a pretty stiff breeze, there are self deploying flaps in the top to let wind through.

    nice, feelay. you have eye bolts in different places on the rail ( back, middle, etc.) for moving it around?

    It looks like 59" is as short as it goes. What's max. height?

    Not sure, Add maybe another 48" to it. Plus, it will fit in a pedestal pole as well as the base plate.
